Pet Setting

2/15/15 - Still cold here in Indiana.. . . like
8 degrees this morning and going lower the
next couple of days.  I have been feeding
and putting Randy's outside cats in the
garage at night.  He has 5 outside kitties.
This is how they spend a  lot of their time
on these cold days - huddled together on
the heated pad.  One big cat named Jack
is off the mat and roaming around in the
garage.  In the picture are Pudge, Lizzie,
Bugsy and Rocket. Jack is a big smoky grey color so Randy has just about every kind of cat except a calico.

2/13/15 - I haven't been posting because
my computer has been running badly.  I
spent almost 2 hours at the library updating
yesterday.  I did 14 updates, restarted and
was notified I had 2 more available.  I'm
sure this is a problem for everyone!!!  Constant
updating.  I can hear my computer whirring, searching,
running in the background now.  Looking over every
click I make so they can send my ADS - sell, sell, sell.

I did go out exploring on Monday.  I
ended up at the Muncie Mall where I found a
shop called Buckles.  I loved their clothes and
Jewelry.  Of course, it had a southwestern
flair.  I know I belong out West!

At right are a couple of the pieces I liked.
They also have crystals and rough stones
thrown in.............perfect.  If I were 30 years younger
I would love to have some of the clothes they offer.

The weather here is COLD.  . . .around 20, much
colder with the wind chill.  Predicting another 3 or
more days of this stuff.  I am taking care of Randy's
cats while he is in Daytona --------- cold there, too.
I wouldn't even want to go out if it weren't for
feeding and checking on the critters.

Quiche Recipe and Mercury Retrograde notes

2/1/2015 -  I found a very good recipe by Paula Deen for Spinach/Bacon Quiche.  Mine is pictured here. Mmmmmmmmmm!

6 large eggs, beaten

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Salt and pepper

2 cups chopped fresh baby spinach, packed

1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled

1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese

1 (9-inch) refrigerated pie crust, (I prepared

my own)

 

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Combine the eggs, cream, salt, and pepper in a food processor or blender. Layer the spinach, bacon, and cheese in the bottom of the pie crust, then pour the egg mixture on top. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until the egg mixture is set. Cut into 8 wedges.

I will be glad when the current  Mercury Retrograde thing is over! When Mercury is retrograde, there's usually much confusion. People forget little things. Delays and frustrations abound.   --  Mercury has been retrograde since January 21 but will go direct on February 11.

 Two days ago I lost my keys at the casino.  Fortunately they were turned in and I was able to get out of there. 

 

Today I could not find the books I checked out of the library four days ago.  I got to thinking that I didn't remember ever seeing them here.  I called the library and later went over to see if I could find anything.  Nothing............but, a few minutes ago, the library called to say one of the three books I had checked out was found at the library.  I honestly don't think I ever left there with them.  Finding one of them there  confirms that to me.  Will have to wait and see if the other two are found.

 

My TV blew a mother board.......Kaput!

 

I left the lights on in  my car causing the battery to go dead.

Those are a quick couple of things I can remember right now.  I wonder if that had anything to do with the final messed up play of the 2015 Super Bowl??????????????????
